This section explains the commands of the System menu. The commands of the system menu are reserved to the system operator and are inaccessible by default. To get access to the system menu, the Tricarb Monitor software must be started with the /SYSOP command line switch, e.g. by typing in a dos box:
C:\>\tricarb\tricarb /SYSOP
This command opens a dialog box to define the location of the data directory. This must be an existing directory on the harddisk. Specify the full path including the drive letter if necessary.
This command opens a dialog box to edit the COM port settings. You can set the baud rate, parity, stop bits, and data bits. These values must not be changed except the Baud rate and the COM port.
Baud Rate: 9600 (must match the value in the counter's SYSGEN page)
Parity: Even
Stop bits: 1
Data bits: 7
Port: COM1
This command opens a dialog box to change the log settings. You can select which events are to be written to the log file.
