Tricarb Monitor is a data transfer software that can retrieve data measured by the Packard Tricarb 1600 beta counter. The software operates on a simple Windows-based PC and saves the data in a format suitable for the import into most spreadsheet applications and into the MultiCalc software. If an optional parallel port adapter is used, no line printer is necessary for measurements.
Logs all data through a serial connection
Designed for unattended operation
Line printer is no longer necessary
Writes either output files in spreadsheet-readable format or MultiCalc input files
Every Tricarb protocol can be linked to one output format
Can be configured to recover from power failures automatically
Risk of data loss by power failure is minimized by writing all data to disk immediately.
Writes a configurable log file of all actions taking place
Context-sensitive help file is available
Runs on cheap hardware (80386 or compatible is sufficient)
Uses a SYSOP mode to keep users from modifying system settings
